Giving back to the communities that have supported us for nearly 60 years is part of who we are. Our dedication to service goes beyond providing high-quality dry cleaning services; we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities that we serve, plus those around us.
Coats for Kids
For many children in our area, a warm coat is a luxury they might not otherwise have. That’s why we proudly partner with KSLA-TV12 and Goodwill Industries each year to bring the gift of warmth through the “Coats for Kids” project.
How It Works
Beginning in November, new or gently used coats are donated and collected at Porter’s locations and many local schools. Our team makes necessary repairs and cleans each coat to ensure it’s ready for distribution.
With the guidance of area schools and teachers, Porter’s will provide coats and warmth to some local children who need it most. The initiative culminates in a special distribution event in January, bringing warmth to countless kids.
Through this project, over 30,000 coats have found their way to children in need, thanks to the generosity of our community.
